God loves us beyond our wildest imagination. So much so that he freely offered up his son Jesus, to create a way for Jesus’ followers to experience his love and joy on earth as well as in heaven. If you want to learn how to receive God’s incredible offer the Four Minute Bible Study will help you get to know, love, and follow Jesus and spend eternity with him. The Bible contains all of God’s messages to his people. But it is quite lengthy and complex and you need not understand it in its entirety to have a relationship with God. This app will guide you through the essentials. By spending just four minutes a day studying it, you will learn WHO God is, WHY he created us, HOW he wants to be in relationship with us and WHAT he promises us in return.

EASY TO FOLLOW: Though the Bible is the most-read book in the world. it is not an easy read and most of us need help to understand it. It is not structured like our modern books. It does not start with a summary statement and end with a concise conclusion, and it uses a wide variety of ancient genres and symbolism. For those of us who did not grow up studying it, it is hard to read it from cover to cover without understanding the big picture. This App makes it easy to understand for new students of the Bible as well as old.

DEEPLY FULFILLING: Contrary to popular belief the Bible is not about religion. It’s about a relationship, a deep relationship with God. That is why this first yearly study is called the Way of God. Jesus’ life and words showed us the Way. These first twelve-monthly studies, each cover a vital aspect of our relationship with God, such as how to pray to God, grow a Godly heart, partner with him and love him. Throughout the year, we will weave these together to form an integrated framework for a fulfilling relationship with God.

ENGAGING: The creative audio in this app uses an award-winning dramatic rendering of the Bible, called the NIV Live. After each daily study, the App provides a link to a contemporary Christian song. We’ve selected a wide variety of Christian pop and rock songs performed by over a hundred different artists to help bring the message home. In addition, an encapsulating verse has also been provided for each month that highlights a key takeaway. Together, these twelve verses capture the essence of the Way of God. Memorizing them will help us remember and apply what we have learned. Memorizing Scripture is as fundamental to following God as memorizing the ABC’s is to reading. COVERS THE ESSENTIALS: Over twelve months, we will take a top-down approach, beginning with the Bible’s overarching themes and then drilling down. In doing so we will learn from each of the sixty-six books that make up the Bible. We will read and reflect upon about 2,500 Bible verses - nearly 8% of the Bible as a whole, and we’ll cover almost 20% of the New Testament. To gain an appreciation for the depth and richness of Scripture, we will do some deep dives into a few passages as well. By the end of the year, each of us should have enough understanding of the Bible’s composition and storyline to confidently study it on our own.
